let your spirt soar, geoffrey

“Every soul comes to the physical world with a cry, a cry of the human spirit to be free again.”

I don't use the word death. You didn't die, Geoffrey. I know this. You made a peaceful transition into the flow of eternal life. The way we regard death is critical to the way we experience life.

When your fear of death changes, the way you live your life changes.

The soul is not afraid of death because it has done it so many times. Today on your physical birthday, your Dad and I just cried together, looking at your bright smile in photos, and he said, "The most painful thing is the lost potential, all the joy and love that Geoffrey can no longer offer to all of the lives he's touched."

I told him this wasn't the case. Your spirit has already taken another form and visits us every day. The way you spirit is so undeniably YOU! (That's another post) ✨💕✨

The spirit is beyond destruction; no one can bring to an end the spirit because it's everlasting. Life is one and immortal. Only the forms, the physical bodies, are transient and brittle. Life eternal is independent of ANY state, but it manifests itself in all forms. LIFE does not "die." Only the forms dissolve.

We go to funerals and services and celebrations of life and write obituaries about the "death" of a being. On the contrary, the transition from the physical body to the spiritual being is the most freeing, glorious, liberating NEW BIRTH we will all experience….over and over again.

✨✨✨and we’ll continue to listen to your high-pitched hyena laughs and remember you haven’t gone anywhere…you’ve just changed outfits

We will continue to cry our faces off.

We will continue to have deep belly laughs telling stories about you.

We will continue to feel the punch in the gut every morning when we wake up and remember you've moved on.

We will continue to grieve, laugh, snot cry, snort-laugh, and we will continue to love one another through the pain.

We will continue to live with your light in our hearts and share it with your baby boy, you're mini-me, Clayton.

We will continue to cherish these memories, remembering the true essence of your spirit and your goofiness, laughing along with you until we meet again

We will jump off the bridge at Lake Burton with some of your ashes, we will plant a tree with some at the top of the mountain, you will travel through the Pacific Ocean by way of Big Sur, and I'm sure many other creative and wacky things will be done with your ashes that only you and us would get.

And you will be in all of these places and our hearts, all simultaneously, for eternity. That's the continuum of life.

I am so thankful for the time we've had together, the amazing conversations we've shared, and the laughter and light you've brought to our world. Let your spirit soar, Geoffrey. Until we meet again...

July 22 is your physical birthday. January 1 is your in-spirit birthday. One of these days was so joyous, the other so painful, but as time goes by, we accept that your true freedom, true essence, and uninhabited soul and spirit are free now, and for that, we choose to celebrate your life, until we meet in the next.

I stand in gratitude always, grateful for the valleys that allow the peaks, grateful for the storms that allow the sun to shine, grateful for the broken path that led me to the journey back to my authentic self and the ability to be in service to others.

I am beyond grateful for the opportunities to have been at my loved ones’ sides, holding their hands, honored to be given the gift of walking them home. I am thankful for meaningful spiritual relationships I now have with each of them, and for their guidance, visits, and UNDENIABLE messages that show me that they haven’t gone anywhere….they’re all just done with their meat puppets.

Never let one moment, good or bad, define you or your journey. Embrace the peaks AND the valleys. Roll around like a puppy in clover when you’re at the peak and learn to not give a fuck when you are in the valleys.

You won't be there for long and that climb back up is where the magic happens….your growth.

🍀🍀🍀Namaste🕉
